My husband has had a long standing mild flirtation with one of the women truck drivers at the company where he works. She’s a nice older lady, in her fifties or so, whom is always sending stuff home with him for our kids. She’s never been married, nor had any children of her own, so she sort of thinks of our kids as her substitute grandkids.
I personally, have never met her, the kids have because my husband likes to take them to work with him on the weekends occasionally. But I find the whole situation amusing.
Yesterday, she showed up with a load at the warehouse and he got to chatting with her while she was waiting to be unloaded. When he went back into the office, the guy who is the head of the mechanics shop told him that he had been watching the cameras and saw Russ with Cheryl. He informed my husband that if he wished to carry on an affair, he had better not be doing it on company time. Russ laughed at him, and asked if he had ever met me.
Mark, the head of the shop, replied that no one has seen me yet, and wondered why. So Russ told him to ask Billy (my husband’s best friend whom also works for the same company) about me, and then to see if he still thought Russ was having an affair with the truck driver.
When he told me about this when he got home, I couldn’t help by laugh. I told him I was going to call into the shop today and ask for Mark, and ask him if my husband is having an affair, just to see that he says. Then if he replies that he is, I told Russ I was going to tell him to encourage it so that I wouldn’t have to give it up every night. Russ got a kick out of that, because it’s exactly what I’m always telling him to do.
The thing of it is that I hate nosy employers. Just because you work for someone, does not give them the right to dictate to you about the rest of your life. Nor does it give them the right to stick their noses in to your personal business.

Couldnt agree more. Its nothing to do with them whatsoever. Still funny though
Your blog is so informative … keep up the good perform!!!!
Nosy employers are one of the worst! But they do provide me with hours of entertainment value, because I love to make people wonder!
