Is that the question? Or would it be where to pee or where not to pee?
Either way my dogs are doing horrible at it! They seem to be in the midst of a territory marking spell. All over my new house! It’s driving me absolutely crazy!
I spend half of my day cleaning up accidents. I’ve read every training guide on this there is, and have tried all kinds of methods, and nothing has worked. We’ve only lived here about two weeks and already I’ve scrubbed the carpets more than most people do in a year.

Or at least that’s what my daughter tells me lately.
First it was over not filling her sticker chart the same day that all the other kids did, because she had a sick day. Then it was over the fact that they now have to sit with their own classes during lunch, so she didn’t get to sit with her friend, Zach, anymore because he’s in a different class. After that it was a magnitude of problems just about every afternoon, with the latest being that her and her bestest boy friend, that what she calls him, Stevie, aren’t allowed to sit together on the bus anymore because they got in trouble for being too noisy yesterday. She claims that it was one of the older kids being noisy and that her and Stevie got in trouble for it. I think: what’s it matter, it’s a van and only holds ten kids, no matter where you sit you’re going to be very close - it’s only three rows and she sits in the middle on. But I guess that’s not close enough for a five year old.

After a little more than two weeks, it is finally starting to feel like home. Most of the boxes are unpacked, we’re learning where all the light switches are, along with where we put everything.
Last night we even planted our trees in the front yard. Yeah, the same trees we had in front of the old place, we had dug them up and set them aside for a while, but now they are happily gracing our front yard. Well, all except my huge lilac bush, I’m sorry to say it didn’t make it. We left it lay in the woods too long, and it died.

That’s what time my daughter has woken me every night since we moved in here. Always at three am she’s standing beside my bed whispering “mommy, mommy, mommy”. Each night it’s a different reason, sometimes she just wants me to come tuck her back in, other nights she wants to climb in bed with us or ask permission to go get in bed with her brother. Not matter what the reason, it’s got to stop! Mommy needs her beauty sleep or she turns into a fierce dragon in the morning.
So last night, I tried a different tactic. Before I tucked her in I told her that if she stayed in her own bed, all night, without waking me, that I’d make her a milkshake when she got home from school. Hey, they may say not to bribe your children, but I have to say - sometimes it works! It did at least last night! She never got up and wondered the house, she didn’t end up in bed with anyone else, she actually spent the whole night in her own bed. So today I guess I own her a milkshake. Yeah, a treat for mommy too!
