Secret Fetishes

Posted by Leigh on November 14, 2008

Admit it, you know you have one!  We all do.  Those super secret fetishes that we keep hidden from the world, we don’t let anyone in on our secrets, not even our partners.

I know I do, a few of them actually.  From smoking in the bathroom when no one’s home (he doesn’t allow smoking in the house), to how I spend some of my free time.

For years I’ve watched my husband, trying to find, to detect at least some hints of his secret fetishes, as if I could.  I never detected any, and he’s a pretty open guy.

Worried Wife

Posted by Leigh on November 3, 2008

Everlasting / ??My husband thinks I worry way too much, I think I worry just enough!

Yesterday he went into work to build a deck that they had hired him to build, as side work.  The warehouse doesn’t run on Sundays, so I knew he was in there alone.  To top it off, he had forgotten his cell phone here at home, so I had no way of contacting him.

He called from the phone in the garage at 11am yesterday morning, and had informed me that he thought he would be done around 1pm.  He said he’d call me before he left there, in case I needed anything from the store on his way home.

Going over the top?

Going over the top?

Why do guys do it? Why is it that when a man gets an idea in his head to do something he has to push it over the top?

My brother in law was so impressed with the high-def LCD TV the other night that he ran right out and bought a 52 incher the next day, along with immediately signing up for the HD service. Not only that, he bought the whole surround sound system that the sales guy showed him. (He must have walked in with the big “Sucker” stamp on his forehead like we have with my son’s sports equipment and trumpet.)

Apparently now, he has turned their living room into something resembling the aftermath of a tornado, tearing down all the trim, trying to hid speaker wires. I simply asked, why if he had put out that much money for surround sound, hadn’t he gone with the wireless ones, to save himself the trouble. I got an “if looks could kill” look at that comment. I guess he hadn’t thought of that.

Spotlight Fever!

Posted by Leigh on October 18, 2008

little missYesterday was Nursery Rhyme day at my daughter’s kindergarten and she fell in love - with performing! She went as Little Miss Muffet, and got to perform her little skit in front of the whole school.

When she got home yesterday afternoon, she made her cousin, who came home with her, watch her little show about a hundred times. Then when her cousin went home, my son and I got to watch it another hundred times, then we finally asked her to find something else to do. So she did - well, until her father got home.
