I know I’ve talked before about my parents ineptness on computers, but last night I think they reached an all time low.
A few weeks back my parents went out and bought a new laptop, I of course had it all picked out for them, they simply went to the store and picked it up. The reason for it is that they want to be able to access their banking accounts. (They are “snow birds” as we like to call people whom summer here in North Western PA, but spend their winters elsewhere. This year it’s in NC.)

The past week was horrible, and when I finally got around to checking my email this afternoon, I had some very strange questions in my email, mostly from my family.
My father, the poor dear, would like to think that he’s tech savy. Two weeks ago he called from NC, and asked me to shop for him a new laptop. So I found a good deal for him at a Circuit City just 15 miles from the campground he’s at. I gave him the model number, all the specs, even the address and directions to the store. He says when he went in and asked for the computer, the salesperson was surprised at how knowledgeable he was on the subject, I nearly wet myself laughing when I heard this, because I knew he had just memorized what I wrote to him and repeated it to the salesman, my opinion on the computer, how long it would last him, and what he would need to upgrade first about it… blah, blah, blah…

I’m the internet nerd - according to my family. So anytime they need anything looked up online, they give me a call. Yea for me!
Last night my younger sister called and wanted to see if I could find anything on the Alli weight loss pill. Why she couldn’t have typed that into a search engine herself, I’m not sure, but either way - I did as I was asked.
One of her friends recommended it saying that they had great results with it, and she had asked the doctor she works with about it, but she wouldn’t say much on the subject. Uh, maybe that’s because she’s an OB/GYN? As my sister works in the maternity ward.

My Gram is 81, she says she gets tired out easy and can’t walk alot. But by the time we got home last night - after 5pm, I was the one who was exhausted - not her. And I had even had a two hour break, sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, while she had her tests run.
For 81, she sure can shop! We left yesterday morning at 11am to run all her errands before her hospital appointment. The pharmacy, the bank, having lunch, then her appointment, picking up my daughter after school, on to some shopping, and the grocery shopping, and she was still raring to go, but unfortunately I had to be home to fix supper for my family. She would have shopped for hours longer.
